Last Sunday there was a meeting starring most team captain's from the remaining 16 teams in our tourney. Also, the first two rounds of the elimination phase were played. We saw some pretty epic matches this Sunday already and hope to see more of them next weekend. Stay tuned for the upcoming streams here!
The major findings of the captain's meeting were:
- Grimble's rugby-like point system was well received, same for the rules and the map pool
- LAR is seen as being powerful on 5s. The general feeling is that a solution (as in having a weaker variant for 5s only) is not likely to be provided by HiRez.
- Server region settings were changed, see the rules for details.
- The elimination phase was changed to double elimination (more fun for everyone!).
The only real issue with our tournament was communication, both between teams (some have no irc channel, a lot non-communicated drops early) and from the administration to the teams. We apologize for some complications due to mails not getting relayed correctly! Also we wanted to thank you guys for all the positive feedback via query/pm/mail!
